Thank you does not seem like enough. My circumstances were difficult, some might say Herculean. A refinance was my saving grace. Others turned me down without even trying. Not so with Grandview. I was blessed to work with Timothy Egan, the experience was amazing. I remember the first thing he asked me was to tell him what was going on, what did I need. Very refreshing. We had a Plan A in place and when that fell through, Timothy Egan did not miss a beat but quickly pivoted to Plan B and I’m happy and I’m thankful to say that we were able to close a couple of days ago. Everyone’s circumstances, finances, etc. are different. Life is not a one size fits all. It makes a difference when someone is willing to at least try. And try Timothy Egan did. I really enjoyed working with Tim Ayers and Laura Wessel. They were both very knowledgeable and worked diligently throughout the whole process. We hit several snags on the lender's end of things, but Tim and Laura were able to adapt very well and make it happen.I presented them both with a fairly challenging situation as I was processing two mortgages simultaneously. Furthermore, both of these mortgages were being handled according to the delayed financing exception within the category of cash-out refinances. If you know anything about this type of mortgage, you know that it has lots of restrictions and requires a significant amount of paperwork.But, Tim and Laura rose to the occasion. Communication was timely and efficient. I rarely had to wait for a call back from Tim as he was virtually always available whenever I would call. I don't even know where to begin in describing Tracy Harding. She is the most loving, caring, and supportive person someone could work with. I was on Active Duty as a combat medic, with 15 months in Afghanistan. Unfortunately toward the end of my deployment, I returned home disabled after an RPG blast. My credit took a hit, I went through a divorce, and so forth. The unfortunate story of a transitioning veteran at times. While I had the VA Home Loan benefit, I was fearful I would never be able to use it. That is until I met Tracy.Initially I was hesitant to reach out to people to initiate the mortgage process. I wasn't confident in my financial background post-Afghanistan, and I was fearful that I would be preyed upon or scammed, which is the unfortunate reality for a disabled veteran at times. Our journey with Grandview Lending started several months ago. To be honest, our credit situation was less than ideal and other lenders had not been helpful at all to even figure out what we needed to do. We had even been downright ignored by others. After doing a google search, i came upon Grandview lending. The reviews were great. I figured it was worth a shot, right? I called and spoke with Mike, and he told me he was the president of the company. I thought “great. I’m going to tell him i have credit issues and he’s going to get off the phone as soon as he can and ignore me like the others.” What happened next was the exact opposite. He listened. He cared. I think the first phone call was at least 20-30 minutes long. He discussed all the possible options moving forward. He sent several emails on the plan moving forward. He followed up with phone calls. My husband and i worked on the credit issues. Surprisingly, after a little past a month, we were where we needed to be! We were told by others to maybe try again in 6 months or a year! I know everyone’s situation is different regarding credit, but this was our experience. When it was time to submit our full application, it all went so smoothly. When i had any questions, worries, or concerns, i called and either Mike or Faye was always available to talk. Emails were answered very quickly. They were trustworthy and honest with every single thing that could happen. There were no delays with closing, in fact, no delays of any sort. Mike said he could get this done for us, and he did. It means so much that while others literally ignored us and didn’t even offer a word of advice, Mike was there and believed in us.
